What you pay for
- Transcript: 1 credit per minute of video, rounded up. A 10-minute video uses 10 credits.
- Each video includes the original transcript, the translation, SRT subtitles and plain text, ready to copy.
- If a video has no subtitles, AI listens to the audio and writes down the speech. Such videos cost a bit more: 1.3 credits per minute, 2 credits per minute for rare languages (for example Georgian).
- If a transcript or clip fails, the credits go back to your balance automatically.
- Credits are valid for 30 days from the day they are added. The oldest credits are used first, free trial credits before everything else.
- A video someone has already transcribed costs 50% of its length. Translating it into a new language costs 50%. A clip costs 1 credit up to 1:59, then 1 more credit for each minute.
- Payments are non-refundable (No Refund). Credits that were not used before they expire are not returned. Failed transcripts and clips are refunded in credits automatically.

Is it free?
Yes. GetClip is completely free and needs no sign-up.
Where is the downloaded video saved?
In your browser's Downloads folder. On iPhone: Files app, Downloads. Nothing stays on the server.
Why does 1080p take longer?
YouTube and some other platforms store high-quality video and sound separately. The server merges them into one MP4, which takes from a few seconds to a few minutes depending on length.
Can I download private or friends-only videos?
No. Only public videos work. We have no access to private, paid or protected content.
Is it legal?
Only download content you have the right to: your own videos, openly licensed material, or with the author's permission. Respecting copyright is the user's responsibility.
The link does not work. What should I do?
Make sure the link points directly to a video (not a profile) and that the video is public. Platforms change often, so trying again in a few minutes sometimes helps.
