YouTube to MP3
in one click

Paste a YouTube link, open the Audio tab and save the sound as MP3 or as the original M4A track. Handy for lectures, podcasts and your own recordings.

MP3 or M4A: which one to pick

MP3 at 192 kbps plays on every device, car stereo and audio editor. GetClip converts the audio track on the server and deletes the file as soon as it is sent to you.

M4A is the original audio track from YouTube, saved without conversion. It is usually smaller, keeps the source quality and plays on iPhone, Mac, Android and most modern players.

Frequently asked questions

What bitrate are the MP3 files?

192 kbps, a good balance between sound quality and file size for both speech and music.

Does it work on iPhone?

Yes. In Safari the file goes to the Files app, in the Downloads folder. From there you can share it or open it in any audio app.

Can I convert copyrighted music?

Only convert audio you have the right to use: your own recordings, Creative Commons content, or material the author allows you to save.

Is there a length limit?

Very long videos have a time limit to keep the server responsive. Podcasts and lectures of normal length convert without problems.

Where is the downloaded video saved?

In your browser's Downloads folder. On iPhone: Files app, Downloads. Nothing stays on the server.

Is it legal?

Only download content you have the right to: your own videos, openly licensed material, or with the author's permission. Respecting copyright is the user's responsibility.
